After breakfast, travel to Charlottesville, VA, to tour Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson Manassas, VA, tour of the Bull Run Civil War Battlefield Quantico, VA, tour of the new Marine Museum Illumination tour of Washington to see the lighted monuments and memorials, White House and Capitol Overnight in Washington, D.C. Sunday, April 6 Visit Mount Vernon, home of President George Washington. Travel through the colonial town of Alexandria. Smithsonian’s Air and Space Museum National Holocaust Museum National Archives: Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence and the Constitution Overnight in Washington, D.C. Monday, April 7 Arlington National Cemetery, Changing of the Guard Visit Smithsonian’s museums Tour of Basilica of Immaculate Conception, view National Cathedral and Embassy Row Group picture in front of the Capitol Tour of the Capitol if possible, see the Supreme Court and Library of Congress Visit the Korean War Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial (each person can place a personalized flag at The Wall), Lincoln Memorial, Iwo Jima Marine Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial and the new World War II Memorial. Overnight in Washington, D.C. Tuesday, April 8 Depart Washington, D.C. for Baltimore. Visit Fort McHenry, where the National Anthem was written and Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Travel on to Gettysburg, PA, for a tour of the famous Civil War Battlefield. Visit the site of Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg Address, Pickett’s Charge, the Devil’s Den and Little Round Top. Overnight in Gettysburg Wednesday, April 11 Depart for Hershey, PA to visit Hershey’s Chocolate World. Travel through the Pennsylvania countryside and learn about the Amish Philadelphia: Independence Mall, Liberty Bell, Christ’s Church, Elfreth’s Alley, Ben Franklin’s grave. Thursday, April 12 Ferry ride to view Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island Tour of lower Manhattan; Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Wall Street, Central Park, and a stop at the site of the World Trade Towers. Friday, April 13 Tour of Lexington and Concord, walk the Freedom Trail of Colonial Boston, including lunch at Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Old North Church, Old Ironsides, Boston Common, and more.
