Saturday May 24

  • Meet at Fisler School in late afternoon to board buses for trip to Long Beach Airport for evening flight to Boston


Sunday May 25

  • Early morning arrival at Boston Logan Airport

  • Breakfast stop

  • Tour of Lexington and Concord

  • Walk the Freedom Trail, including Old North Church, Old Ironsides,

Boston Commons, with lunch at Faneuil Hall.

  • Overnight in Boston


Monday May 26

  • Travel from Boston to New York City

  • Tour of Lower Manhattan, stopping at site of World Trade Towers

  • Ferry trip to see Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

  • Overnight in Secaucus, NJ


Tuesday May 27

  • Depart for Philadelphia

  • Tour Independence Mall and see the Liberty Bell

  • Travel through the Amish country

  • Stop at Hershey’s Chocolate World

  • Overnight in Gettysburg, PA


Wednesday May 28

  • Tour of Gettysburg Civil War Battlefield

  • Visit Ft. McHenry where the National Anthem was written

  • Arlington National Cemetery, Changing of the Guard

  • Visit Iwo Jima Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, the White House, and Lincoln Memorial

  • Overnight in Washington, D.C.


Thursday May 29

  • Tour President Washington’s home, Mount Vernon

  • Visit the Colonial town of Alexandria

  • Travel to Charlottesville, VA to tour Jefferson’s home, Monticello

  • If time permits, stop at the new Marine Museum in Quantico, Va.

  • Overnight in Washington, D.C.


Friday May 30

  • Smithsonian Museums

  • Congressional Tour of Capitol, see Supreme Court and Library of Congress

  • National Holocaust Museum

  • Visit the Vietnam, Korean, World War II, and FDR Memorials

  • National Archives

  • Overnight in Washington, D.C.


Saturday May 31

  • Travel to Manassas, VA to the Civil War Battlefield of Bull Run

  • Tour of the new Smithsonian Air and Space, Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles Airport

  • Depart Washington Dulles Airport for flight home
