i       After breakfast, tour Lexington and Concord

i                      Lunch at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market

i                      Walk the Freedom Trail, including Old North Church and Old Ironsides.

i                      Travel to Plymouth to see Plymouth Rock

i                      Visit Plimoth Plantation;  a recreation of life in America in 1627

i                      Overnight in Plymouth, MA

 

Wednesday

i                      Travel to New York City

i                      Tour of Mid and Lower Manhattan: walk to site of Trade Towers, Wall Street

i                      Take the Staten Island Ferry to see New York skyline and the Statue of Liberty

i                      Visit the “Top of the Rock” at Rockefeller Center

i                      Overnight in Secaucus, NJ

 

Thursday

i                      Depart for Philadelphia

i                      Visit Independence Mall and see the Liberty Bell, Independence Mall, Constitution Hall, Ben Franklin’s grave, Christ’s Church

i                      Travel through the Pennsylvania countryside, learn about the Amish

i                      Travel on to Hershey’s Chocolate World

i                      Overnight in Gettysburg

 

Friday

i                      Tour of the Civil War Battlefield at Gettysburg

i                      Travel on to Baltimore to Fort McHenry, home of “Star-Spangled Banner”

i                      On to Washington, D.C.  to tour the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and view Embassy Row

i                      Tour Arlington National Cemetery, see the Changing of the Guard

i                      Visit the Smithsonian Museums

i                      Evening tour of Washington: Lincoln, Jefferson, and  Iwo Jima Memorial,

White House and Capitol

i                      Overnight in Washington, D.C.

 

Saturday

i                      Early morning tour of Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home

i                      Visit the Colonial town of Alexandria

i                      On to Manassas, VA to tour the Bull Run Civil War Battlefield

i                      Next, it’s on to Quantico, VA, to tour the new Marine Museum

i                      Travel to Charlottesville, VA to tour Thomas Jefferson’s home, Monticello

i                      Overnight in Washington

 

Sunday

i                      Tour of the National Holocaust Museum

i                      Go on tour of Capitol

i                      View the Supreme Court, Library of Congress

i                      Visit the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, Korean Veteran’s Memorial; FDR, and  the new World War II Memorials

i                      Overnight in Washington
